To Dance
In response to the Lifeline prompt: Write a poem that captures the essence of life’s journey, focusing on the beauty, challenges, and wisdom gained along the way
She’d been here before, where the road was forked A moon ago, she had stepped right and danced Right, or left lore, which adventure to walk? To dance! Twirl in night blue and be romanced
Romanced but broken-hearted, thus her stance Time for left and without hearts devotion Let the mind rule without a backward glance Logic and lists and no more commotion!
Alas, before the fork, under the moon Deja vu quarry with heart or logic Reminder to create this chapter’s tune Or time to explore pharmacologic!
To dance left and right until the gurney Under the sun and stars, this is journey
