Concrete skies And leaden mist Lead astray the searching masses To betray more subtle nature What’s within in coal pile hidden Nurturance a feeble light To comfort all with formless arms

For openness is but required To quell the heart that beats alarm They fly and rush towards deepest moonlight Magical and gossamer Ignoring darkness that surrounds them To confuse more noble thoughts Stone cold buildings do they worship Higher, cornered, glass enclosed

Their worth in trappings holds them sway To show to all and seize the day Many like minds coo and pet them As they preen in praises falsehood But they fail to sense true meaning A shadowed soul which blinks and falters From the brink drawn back to center We can hold the tassel cord

Golden, glowing, we can help them Recognize true beauties worth Belonging, cleaving, bonding dear This is where true freedom lies Limitless and boundless morrows Journey without real direction
