To Be Like the Moon Behind the Mask
The chiaroscuro of my subconscious — Tuesday Challenge (chiaroscuro is an Italian term referring to the strong contrast between light and dark)
The Moon,
I want to be like her —
seen, admired, and experienced by all
Reachable by none

Author’s note:
I fight with the dualistic nature of being an extrovert while still having strong introvert tendencies. There is a constant battle as to which will rule a particular day.
But look at the moon, beautiful, ethereal, lighting the night sky shining brightly when she is full and wanting to play but hiding away when she wants to renew. She then returns a little bit at a time, revealing a little bit at a time until she is full again.
