Tired of Being Tired

A sonnet about the new normal.

We all have reached a point of being tired. Twenty-twenty brought serious issues. Unemployment leaving people in dire Needs, and racial justice is long overdue.

COVID almost brought the world to a halt. New rules and requirements, but less money. Protesting for justice, but face assault. We are told lies and assumptions weekly.

Mandate that all wear masks while in public, Until there’s a vaccine, all must comply. Saving jobs will help increase foot traffic. Racial justice will end public outcry.

We all want to return to normalcy. These life burdens are weighing heavily.
