Tips You Need to Know Before Giving Presentation
Make a wild guess that who’s going to take over the stage in this upcoming presentation?

No, I won’t be telling you how to dress up nicely for your presentation. I utterly feel that dressing up doesn’t count in the essential things that you must go for first. Let me repeat First.
In this blog, I will be telling you some tips that no one gives you & when the time comes, you only wish to know it before. In case you have a presentation in the coming week or soon and you are not prepared yet, then this blog is for you, mate!
Precisely, I tried to conclude all the major points through that you can learn instantly and get full marks with 100% desired appreciation from the boss real-quick.
Let’s jump straight into the points and get ready to drop all your anxiety down to the toe. 😉
Practice before it’s too late
I started going to university in July 2019, before that I was doing a job as a customer service executive. I must say working in a call center is another level of self-roasting.😞
I was 19 years old then, used to travel in public transport, and had unwanted interactions daily. I got nothing but communication skills. It is always good to learn ahead of the box, what would be more painful for a pampered child like me who never stepped out of the door unnecessarily? I wonder!
I resigned from my job in July to ride on another roller coaster. My university becomes uni-worse-city for me when I saw the final presentation as mandatory to pass any course.
I skipped this particular presentation part for freaking 13 years. Sigh! Nevermind, I was stuck, and there was no way to skip this time.
It was the end of my first semester, and I had two presentations in 1 week. I got no one besides me, but to present a failed speech as sushi in front of the 55 students, that were not even my friends and that one teacher who doesn’t even know that I exist in his class and would judge me by my posture, outfit, explanation & knowledge.
Anyhow, I gathered my courage and somehow practiced my failed speech over 100th times in front of the mirror, and finally, the awaited day came, overall my English fluency is good but since it is not my native language I faced hesitation and panic attack at first, but all my fears and harsh gulps turned in to massive claps & standing ovation in the end.
Steps buying light-weight and carriable confidence
You can get this confidence in just $0, all you have to do:
- Check in to yourself.
- See, what you fear the most.
- Remove this toxic ad that has just popped up.
- Continue to yourself, visit google.
- Research about the given topic.
- Go through to the countless debates that had done over the topic.
- Scroll down to make your notes.
- Write down the bullet points and not fueled essays.
- Add a pinch of your opinion and perspective in extras.
- Create your story relevant to the topic.
- Add to practice cart.
- Click done when you don’t find the need to read notes anymore.
- Add audience card as your pillow, furniture & mirror in payment details.
- Get annoyed to see 2 hours of more practice as delivery charges.
- Once you are ready with your speech, add a pitch of bold volume & wear the shade of I don’t give a f*ck.
- Unbox this confidence in front of the class and move to the next point.
Expression — the cherry on my anxiety
People eventually forget what you have said, but your bold tone, your ability to involve the whole class in your conversation, your silly questions to them, your movement & facial expressions do wonders.
As soon as you turn your boring speech into a general discussion, it increases the relatability rate and decreases the fear of being judged.
Your nonchalance questions to random students can make the whole class, active and this is the 2nd last step to get A plus.
Such typical questions like, raise your hand if you have ever done this, clap if you agree, how many think it is a wrong thing and, etc.
My topic was on educating yourself, I randomly asked, “How many of you think that we need to love ourselves before loving someone else?” everyone raised their hands. Then, I picked a random guy and asked, “do you agree about this point?”
Just to remind, My legs were still shivering but, I didn’t let my confidence shatter.
The last step — control it before it skips you and controls your GPA
- Louder than ever: A fully packed room needs your stability over the pitch. Make sure that your voice reaches the end of the corner.
- Play cool to overcome your fears for 10 minutes, once you start controlling them.
- Move your eyes on every individual, a sense of indulging everyone with your words is ideal.
- I genuinely forget if I keep reading slides, it is not my thing. I revise the points in my mind, not alphabetically aligned but, I try to make sense with the subject.
- You can read the slides if you are comfortable.
- Easy peasy words: don’t make it complicated for others to understand. Use your keen ideology with minimum tough words.
- It’s not the way you have dressed, the main ingredient to your presentation is, your empowered knowledge.
- Considering your presentations as just a part of the curriculum is not so safe, take it as a lifetime opportunity and become a front spokesperson for your company or business.
The essence of your consistency is the conflation of your efforts, whether it is your first presentation or last, your diligence towards your skills is a target. This is not your anxiety or the people who will decide your intelligence but your experience, thought-process, practice & flexibility.
You, as being human will hesitate, take pauses, and make mistakes but this should never stop you from standalone on the stage and share your words.
Presentation is visual art that teaches you to go well with your mouth.
