Tincture of Time
A Magical Healer

I sat quietly waiting for time to heal an unfamiliar illness
Demons from the past flew by
A nod of recognition, but this was not about them
Uncertainty about the future had drawn me to a low place
This heavy feeling taking me by surprise, I surrendered to its weight
I stopped counting the hours and days
I turned a deaf ear to the present
I read stories of courage and survival I immersed myself in silent water, floating free of thoughts and words
I waited patiently and finally awoke, smiling again
Time had worked its magic
