There come strong times in which all that has been grasped at and grappled is laid out before us stark - unnerving - painstakingly shackled. This is one such time.

There came before us tales in which bloodbaths drawn for balance, such forgeries of alliance meant the hour of sorrow from its great vista hailed. This is one such tale.

Beware your bard now - from which mode his great song is spun among whose libraries he has wandered and in whose armour he has come - for to be haunted by one-trick prophets pounds hollow archetypal drum.

Ambition. Just of what is it really made? should your eyes have acclimatised to cynicism these days then place your ear close down hold your breath and go under hear the preachers howl many worlds on their tectonic, folkloric thunder.

Jules Heavens must be credited with the phrase strong times. I owe her my deep gratitude not only for this borrowing, but also for her relentless dedication to holding transformative space for women, the likes of which I had never imagined possible before we met.
