Money troubles and a little mischief …
Having to abandon someone you were loyal to, after realizing something disingenuous about their overall state and testimony. Whatever details were behind whichever actions you took, lead you to some supposed asylum, this experience however bought you to a state of deep thought and despair.
In this spread of cards, we have two major arcana’s showing up, Strength and the Hermit in reverse; they represent major life issues, long-term, rooted issues.
In the past, I feel, you struggled, in order to learn, how to balance making decisions from a place of rational thinking versus impulse and anxiousness. Card #45, Eight of Clubs, Some Money; shows a man standing in front of a street market fruit stand, reaching into his pocket. I’m seeing this as, the man not having enough money for food and goods, or that they merely didn’t factor in their survival needs…

I’m sorry, you have had to face so many adversities and setbacks; psychically, Five of Pentacles is telling me the story of the one who’s been scammed, deceived, or mislead. Whatever measures you took were for self-preservation and I see, things for you got harder after, per the Hermit showing up in reverse. Clarified with Card #24, Four of Hearts, City House; this image shows a large building, with a lot of foot traffic out in front, it looks like some type of institution to me; a sanitarium, school, jail, shelter, a refuge. I feel that the experience you had, there, was not anything you anticipated; low grade, lack luster, unsanitary, disorderly, and slightly dangerous.
I also feel this experience taught or bought about (some resources) that otherwise you would have not been lined up with and taught you to be more responsible with your resources going forward.
Amid, the Hermit card reversed, I also see someone who’s in deep depression, you could have exhibited irrational behavior that caused you to be outcasted from some kind of support group. The Hermit traditionally devotes their life to spiritual study, and this card also indicates a need, to turn away from the world and go within for answers.
When you experience a loss, the grieving process is different for each individual.
The pain of loss; is the toughest life experience I’ve needed to overcome, it’s a lifelong process for some, and truly a kind of pain that brings you to your knees.
It’s natural to be in a dark space for a little while, especially if the loss is recent within the last 7 years, however there are some mental health conditions that are bought on, or triggered and made more intense by the onset of a loss. It is important that you seek professional mental health care if you find you are having memory loss or feel taunted by your thoughts, dreams, and/or memories.
