Time Waits for No Man
GiaB writing prompt #2–2 time | Has time always existed? |

Time waits for no man Yet we stand looking at our clock like a Nomad
Time is everything But we can never purchase more of it No street market you can go Where you can see a display of it This isn’t trade by barter Nothing you can exchange for it
No referee who can give some extra time Yet, death is the whistle reminding us when we are out of time It keeps us in line Helping us to make use of what we’ve got Because the only place without time Is the place we go when we’ve gone
The rich and the poor Have the same amount of it But the gap between them Is a measure of just how they make the most of it
Time Is a human concept Yet We don’t have full understanding of it It comes and goes Leaving us In awe of it
