I have no intention of spreading fear, but I wanted to offer a gentle reminder to back up your stories if you value them.

After reading stories posted by Shanti C K and Mary Papas regarding the disappearance of other writers’ accounts, I realized that several Medium accounts have vanished without explanation.

Speculating on the reasons behind these disappearances won’t bring clarity, and I trust that answers will come in due time.

In light of these recent events, it may be wise to consider exporting your Medium data to ensure you retain access to your content.

Fortunately, Medium has made this process relatively easy for users.
