PRECIOUS TIME
Time Is Not Money, Just Currency — Is There a Gold Standard (Mindfulness) Behind It?
This is the only way to increase the value of your time.
Money and currency are two separate concepts
Money represents a concrete value expressed in gold. A currency is a means of payment of a country, whose value constantly changes in relation to other countries’ currencies.
Through this analogy, time is just a currency whose value increases and decreases. How can you increase the value of your time?
Attention is money, not time
The more you act with conscious attention (money), the more valuable your time (currency) is. Scrolling the news feed is worthless.
Your time can become worthless like any country’s currency. But you can increase the value of your time by strengthening your ability to focus.
Simple exercise: Do only one thing at a time. Hard exercise: Say no.
Gold standard:
It is not a long life that is valuable, but a conscious one.
What do you do to make your time more valuable?
