Tik Tok is challenging the Trump Ban.

Tik Tok has announced it will be suing the Trump administration over its banishment in the United States.

If you don’t know the very popular social media app Tik Tok has taken the internet by storm with its very entertaining short-form video concept. The Gen-Z generation has quickly claimed the app as there’s and accounts for almost a 3rd of the app's users. With the total in the U.S being about 80 million users, and the world having about 500 million users, you can believe the app has a big influence on today's youth.

The Tik Tok app was created by Zhang Yiming a China native that is now worth over 16.2 billion thanks to Tik Tok.

The Trump administration has reason to believe Tik Tok is taking United States users data and sharing it with the Chinese government. Tik Tok has rejected those claims but cybersecurity experts say there is a chance U.S data could be falling into the wrong hands.

Donald Trump has stated that unless ByteDance(Tik Toks company)will sell Tik Tok to an American buyer like Microsoft the app will be banned from the United States.

India and Australia have already banned Tik Tok for security reasons, so it makes sense Donald Trump is sceptical about the app. Tik Tok has rejected claims and agreed to hire United States employees but still, the Trump administration is not budging.

On August 22nd Tik Tok made the decision to sue the Trump administration.

”To ensure that the rule of law prevails and that our company and users are treated fairly, we have no choice but to challenge the Executive Order through the judicial system,” TikTok said in a statement to CNN, adding that the legal challenge could come as soon as this coming week.

Tik Tok has also stated that they have tried to communicate and find a solution to this issue, but they were met with a lack of effort and due process from the Trump Administration.

For these corporations and government leaders, this is millions of dollars on the line, as well as national security. To the users of Tik Tok however, it’s just heartbreaking.

Everyone kids, adults, love this app. It has given ordinary people a voice and a platform. It has brought fame to ordinary people. Most importantly it has helped everyone through quarantine.

Tik Tok is important to millions of people around the world. For some, it’s become a full-time career. This silly app has not only brought people joy, but it has opened up a whole new doorway for content creation, and entertainment.

One thing is for sure though, if Tik Tok goes away there will be millions of unhappy Americans.
