Three Reasons Why You Should Write On Quora If You’re Starting To Write Online
It can accelerate your progress.

I have expanded my writing odyssey to Quora this past week.
Compared to some platforms like Twitter, Medium, or LinkedIn, Quora doesn’t get as much love. It should.
It’s a goldmine of endless opportunities for aspiring digital writers.
Here are three reasons why I think Quora is worth a shot.
1. You can help others.
Quora often gets a bad rap.
Some of the questions (and answers) there can be outrageous.
The bad questions were probably meant to generate quick pennies from its (now-defunct) partner program, which paid people to ask questions.
But there are also legit questions from legit people.
If you can answer them thoughtfully, you might make a difference in another person’s life.
2. You can explore yourself in a deeper way.
Sometimes, you don’t know what you know until somebody prompts you.
One of my problems as a writer is understanding what value I can offer to other people. By answering questions on Quora, my goal is to find out what topics I can help others with the most.
If you are having the same problems as me, try Quora and go on a self-discovery pilgrimage.
3. You remove the friction from generating ideas.
Writers often have trouble deciding what to write. That’s paralyzing.
So what else could be easier than going to a website with all the questions people are already asking?
Quora could be the grease that gets a writer’s gears unstuck.
It’s too early for me to say if Quora is worth it.
But if there’s anything I learned about writing online, it’s that experimentation is a key aspect of growth.
