My Three Fav Places in India I Wish to Start As A Digital Nomad Someday

Can’t decide your next workation spot? Habibi, come to India

Being a Digital Nomad is, I think, the best feeling for a person who loves to travel.

Travel plus Vacation plus Work? Whether you call it — Bleisure — Bizcation — Workation. I just want to get rid of the four walls of my home and live this life while I enjoy this new travel trend, at least for some time. Who wouldn’t want to feel a little alive? Yeah!

Did you know? The best part of traveling is it makes you a storyteller as no one can tell a story better than the one who actually experiences it.

Even though not all remote workers around the globe might prefer the Indian sub-continent as their first option for staycation, this homeland guarantees plenty of alluring destinations just the same as you could ever wish for if you’re a wacky traveler.

Nowadays, as most companies are happily promoting remote work to the employees (I’m gladly working from home since 2019), this shifting trend has helped me enjoy work and leisure side by side.

This nature of work has also proven to be helpful in positively promoting mental and physical health while simultaneously making a myself more productive, enthusiastic, and pleased.

If this is so, then why not have a real taste of being a digital nomad for a while?

So, I’m here to share three of the fave places that I someday wish to live and work. (With you! Yes, whosoever is reading this). 😉

Be my trek partner in Ladakh

I’m a mountain lover.

When it comes to traveling, my obvious choice is always the majestic mountains. And, if as a digital nomad you ever want to see what actually “paradise on earth” looks like, come with me to “LADAKH, The Land of High Passes.” Ladakh is not just another mountainous place but a celestial destination appealingly wrapped in a white blanket of snow guaranteed to make you fall in love with it.

Ladakh is my dream destination for workation. I desperately wanted to live in Ladakh as a digital nomad, at least for some time.

There is no better place than Ladakh for those who wanna escape to the Himalayas and enjoy some adventurous activities. Those can be like rafting through Choksati to Sangam, trekking at Nubra and Indus valley and riding bikes on the tranquil range of mountains, and visiting the captivating Buddhist Monasteries are just so spectacular lifetime experiences.

Trying some momos with a cup of freshly brewed masala chai at the authentic Ladakhi restaurants is too good to be true.

Working on the weekdays and exploring on the weekends will be my catchphrase. Though workload may sometimes get disturbed because of network issues, your wacky weekends would not fail you in any way.

Just see this picturesque view, close your eyes, and imagine yourself at this point. Isn’t it acting like a magnet that pulls you towards itself? It does, right?

Wait, you have just seen the white and have not seen the green yet.

Let me now take you to Munnar!

Want to mystically kiss stress goodbye?

Backpack like a boss, and let’s go to Munnar. Yes! Munnar has become quite popular among travelers. It has all the pristine, exotic, and peaceful views and experiences that will rejuvenate all the senses in your body.

Munnar is famous for its stunning mountain valleys, virgin forests, immersive culture, mesmerizing scenic walkways, and an unending extent of tea plantations and orchards. Oh! Can’t wait to have a cup of chai here while enjoying the aroma of scented cool air.

Digital nomads can set an easy base in some hotels and get dedicated workstations enabled with high-speed WiFi.

Trust me, witnessing sunsets in Munnar can be an absolutely mesmerizing experience.

In short, you will not get enough of it. A place that you would love to live in and would never want to leave.

But I say you have to, because Aizawl is waiting for us.

Nothing is as amusing as Aizawl (Mizoram)

Aizawl = Peace and calmness! A sole motive of a traveler, especially for digital nomads and remote workers!

Words are not enough to express the beauty of this ethereal destination. Aizawl is a magical place. Once you make a visit, it will leave you yearning for more and more.

Aizawl has blessed with a peculiar natural beauty hidden under the clouds with appealing mountains, pleasing lakes and rivers, and surrounded by beautiful green spaces. It is famous for its handicrafts, shopping center (Burra bazaar), Mizoram State Museum, Solomon’s Temple, and some mind-blowing Mizo cuisines (specialty in non-vegans).

The city sees fewer tourists and is the most underrated place in India.

Language won’t be a problem for digital nomads as people of Aizawl prefer to communicate in English after the Mizo language. They are well-educated, honest, and friendly. Thus, Aizawl is among the safest cities in India to reside.

Conclusion to Workation

India is an incredible travel destination offering numerous facilities and benefits for digital nomads and ex-pats to explore. These were my fav destination to start as a digital nomad, and these sites will surely motivate you to consider your next workation in India. And you will end up weaving memories that will last forever.

Would you mind having a look at this one too?
