Three 'Out Of This World' Short Stories

Dare to dream, because one day it may all come true

When not raking over the past, I quite like to muse about the future. As a Baby Boomer I remember with a great deal of affection programmes like 'The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and Dr Who. Those programmes were from the golden age of tv science fiction and set the stage for later fantastic sojourns such as Solaris, Star Trek, Star Wars and Tomorrow I'll Be Scalding Myself With Tea to name but a few.

I don't know why this genre has always fired my imagination. Maybe it was because it was a form of escapism from the harsh reality of a brutal working class existence on the wrong side of the tracks. Or perhaps is was to escape from a more global world at war with itself. Whatever it was, what went in, at some time or other, had to come back out.

And so here I present you dear reader with three humble offerings of my own in the field of science fiction, and in the first one of them at least, science fact! At times I dare to dream, I suppose I dare to dream the most when the world, when my personal world is going through a period of upheaval. Come to think of it, that upheaval is something of a constant rather than an infrequent visitor.

All that remains for me to say is that I hope you get as much out of the reading as I did the writing. Enjoy
