To enlighten someone to me means to offer your perspective that was gained through experience, it’s giving an option for consideration. Just because we know something doesn’t make it right, for me what I know is right once I understand how to make it work in my favor. The story below is how one experience changed my entire life for the better, I hope that it will shine a light on your path so the way will be a bit clearer.

As people look to be encouraged and enlightened, the same holds true when it comes to entertainment, in fact, most would rather be entertained, than to be encouraged and enlightened. But when it comes to my entertaining pieces, I ensure that they encourage and enlighten as well. Just as reality influences fiction, fiction can influence reality, when it’s written to do so mind you.

I believe the story below contains the three ways that I write most of all, and it just so happens to be my all-time favorite short story my mind has shared with me. Not only do I hope you enjoy it but just as importantly, I pray that you get the message I attempted to convey as well.

I’m a firm believer that the three E’s my pieces represent make-up the foundation all great literature sits atop, but don’t take my word for it, do your own research of your own favorite books or movies. I like to use the Matrix and Hungry Games trilogies as examples to prove my point. I’ll also throw in the epic Game of Thrones for good measure.
