Thoughts on trains: Toronto, Canada 3.0 !!
Finding answers- My never-ending thoughts while on the train commute
On 3rd March 2023, we left home for my dancing class to hit Downtown to pick up an order.
For a change, we got a ride from an uncle to Warden Station saving us $3.2 for the TTC. This time we got to enter from a different entrance as we never get here by vehicle, and we don’t get to see this side of the subway station. Hence the other entrance.
We caught the train. Sachin was excited. After five months in Toronto, for the 1st time, we managed to get on the train from the 1st cabin. Meaning, we get to see the railway track ahead. He quickly grabbed me and walked to the front, and stood there.
From there onwards, we spent about 15–30 minutes in a paradise world.
The path we see while on the move is wow. It is just that we pass all these every day, but today only we got that view.
You get to see the trees and buildings that we say bye to while moving from a totally different angle from here. It is a different perspective to them today. You get to question, is it the same things we see every day, it is that beautiful.

We got to say bye to the trains that cross the paths. And I was so happy to see how the railway tracks cross each other at stations and how the trains take different tracks based on the direction that they are moving. I have seen this before when we were waiting for the train, but today only I saw it clearly. Still, a question for me, how do they coordinate directions so that they don't hit each other? I guess this is another tech wonder.

And today, we managed to get a view of the passengers waiting at the station to get in. We are at that seat every day, but today we managed to see them from the train.

For me, the biggest win of this ride was the journey through the underground tunnels. When we are in an ordinary seat, we don't get this view. But today, we managed to get glimpses of the tunnels, that feeling you get when we move from a very dark place. The best part is we saw how it brightens up with the shades of sunlight creating a really nice pattern of light and reflections on the walls.
It is a whole different world and an experience.

We were in recording mode throughout, and couldn’t take our eyes off it. At one point, I just relaxed, rested by a seat back and thought to myself, what a beauty is this.
Here comes the best part, you know how my mind works when I am on the train as to how it is operated. Finally, I found my answer.
Finally, I saw the operator handling it and his switchboard. There you go, this undoubtedly is our best train ride so far and a memorable one to the books.
The happy child indeed !!
Sachin continued his ride Downtown, and I got down at Chester to get to my class.
