This Time Around

Take a deep breath, and let your mind rejoice in times well spent.

Take a deep breath and let your mind rejoice in times well spent;

Ride the carousel of no regrets, as it makes its rounds inside your head.

Pause and reflect on the days you’ve wept;

Those challenging times one tends to hide or bury deep inside.

Once you’ve gained entrance to this clandestine attraction,

don’t get lost in fleeting dissatisfaction.

Watch those moments as they come and go

like a revolving,

ever-evolving

memory.

As we say goodbye to this year, let yourself treasure the warmth of a hug,

and the tepidness of tears.

Those small sorrows and joys we oftentimes let saunter away

without a sound.

Let the champagne bubbles fizzle on your tongue just a little longer

this time around.
