This Thanksgiving, I’m Grateful For My New Outlook On Life
Radically accepting both the light and the dark this Thanksgiving season
Today, I am grateful for…
- My cozy, quaint apartment. I am so grateful I was able to find this incredible place and that I get to share it with the ones I love. From its sun-filled rooms to its exposed brick walls, it is a gift. A blessing and bellwether against the chaos of the outside world.
- The changing of the seasons. I am especially grateful for fall, my favorite season, which has brought refreshing coolness and reminds me to snuggle close to all that I hold dear. It also calls attention to life’s impermanence, and how we’re all just careening towards our ultimate demise.
- My new friends. I was so lonely after moving to a new city, but they took me under their wing and showed me love and friendship. I can’t wait to grow closer and more connected with Witch Hazel, Rhododendron, Waxwing, and Gourdlord.
- Finally investing in clothes and accessories that fit me and make me feel good. I love my new pentacle necklace and I can’t wait to get branded with it at tonight’s “Late Autumn But Not Quite Winter Solstice.” Plus, I look great in black!
- My loving, selfless, incredible partner, Rachel. I was so nervous and definitely feeling like an imposter within our new community, but she reminded me that I was good enough to be there. Not only does she love and support me in all my adventures, but she bravely stepped up to be my first sacrifice to the Dark Lord. I couldn’t have done it without her!
- Our weekly group rituals that help us cleanse the planet, our systems, and help to honor our otherworldly intentions while centering ourselves on the energy of our dark lord, Satan.
- The Satanic Bible. Wow. What an incredible, informative, and life-changing work. It forces me to reflect on my preconceived notions, but totally worth it!
- My newly acquired dark magic! I feel such gratitude for the unrelenting, violent power that has been bestowed upon me. Because of this incredible gift, I feel like I’ve really been able to step into my true self.
- The Dark Lord of course! Without him we wouldn’t be here, practicing his craft, reveling in his noble work, and pushing ourselves to be his best, loyal followers. He’s the best and always encourages us to embrace our “dark side.” I loved working as a team to open the gates of hell for him. Never would I have imagined finding such a dedicated, passionate, and driven group of people hellbent (pun intended!) on accomplishing such an incredible feat. I feel so grateful that I got to be a part of this event, this chosen family, and this new world order we will unleash upon the unknowing mortal population. Hail Satan!
- Oh, and pumpkin spiced lattes. What a fun, delicious, seasonal treat!
