This Son
These Graves

This son Shall rake the dirt Of freshly dug Parental graves, While two old trees Lean inward, Never able to embrace Beside a field of somber flags, Accepting comfort from the breeze.

I would like to thank the two featured trees for leaning just a little bit less in the second photo when the parents came out to play. Thanks also to the third tree in the middle for shrinking. No thanks to the big tree on the right who photo-bombed the second picture.
Note to Illumination curator: Please categorize under “Spirituality.”
