Summary

The author shares a personal wallpaper sketch featuring shooting stars, intending to brighten the reader's day, and encourages self-reflection on personal brilliance, while also promoting a humorous story by Suma Narayan.

Abstract

In a follow-up to a previous sketch, the author has created a new wallpaper design with shooting stars as the central theme. This artwork is not just for aesthetic purposes but serves as a metaphorical invitation for readers to envision themselves as radiant stars, filled with happiness and joy. The author acknowledges that the sketches may not become actual wallpaper but emphasizes the importance of self-worth and the potential for personal growth. Alongside the sketches, the author recommends a humorous story by Suma Narayan, which resonates with childhood memories of envy over table decorations, adding a light-hearted touch to the overall message of shining brightly in one's own life.

Opinions

  • The author believes in the power of imagination and its ability to transform one's mood and self-perception.
  • There is an underlying sentiment that everyone has the capacity to shine brightly like a star, regardless of external validation or recognition.
  • The inclusion of the story by Suma Narayan suggests the author values humor and its role in bringing joy and lightness to life's experiences.
  • The author seems to appreciate the beauty in imperfection, as indicated by the description of the sketch as "slightly out of focus" and yet still worthy of sharing.

This should be wallpaper Series – 2

Hello again. Last week, I drew a wallpaper sketch to brighten your day. Today, I thought I would share my offering with my friends at Dancing Elephants Press.

This time, I have drawn some shooting stars. They may never be wallpaper, but that’s OK. Just stare at them for a minute and imagine you are a shooting star sailing through the air happily and joyfully because you deserve to shine as bright as a star.

I hope you felt happier looking at these stars. Maybe you are wondering ‘How will you be a star today?’ Well, I think you already are. But, it won’t hurt to shine even brighter.

The story below by Suma Narayan is so funny. I know when younger, I sat in restaurants envious of the table decor of my neighbours too:
