This Piece of the Puzzle

When it turns

You think we are strangers, but if you look in my eyes — like, really look in my eyes — you just might see that you know me. As we pass in the store, on the street, or as we start speaking for the first time, and there is something just a little bit familiar.

But that’s just one of those things. Right? One of those funny, coincidence things — déjà vu things. No. It’s a real thing, a true thing, a me and you thing, a more and more thing — more than ever before thing.

This is a remembering. An awakening, and if you don’t feel it — if you can’t see it now — you will. Because you know me. And I know you.

And I want to tell you something.

Don’t worry. Even in the most insane moments, everything is as it should be. And there is a part of you that already knows this. That part of you is standing on the other side of all this craziness, telling you that you make it through and things there are better than good.

I may sound ridiculous, but if I do, just hang onto this, and there will come a time when this piece of the puzzle will turn and slip right into place. And you will remember, too.
