I just realized Medium brought back its feature that allows you to write articles on your mobile phone.

Hallelujah!

It’s been rough without this tool.

I had to jumble up my articles on a Google doc and copy it over to Medium.

Now that we have it again, I want to tell you the main benefit of writing on your phone.

Let’s go.

You have a digital diary.

I always preach that writers should always journal.

The best writing is emotional writing.

Readers want to resonate with your story. Diaries are your emotions written down.

This sounds weird, but you practice being emotional with a diary.

Now that we’re in the digital age, your diary can be your phone.

I know you spend at least 5 hours on your phone daily (if you don’t, tell me your secret). Think about how long you can practice emoting instead of scrolling Twitter.

You shouldn’t hold your emotions in so you can type them on your laptop.

Your writing is the rawest when your emotions are fresh.

So, write on your phone!

It gives you that emotional practice you need to improve your writing.

Once you make a habit out of this, you’ll be a writing master in no time.

Also, thanks Medium for bringing back this tool!
