This Is Why Black Folks Need To Stop Playing Games With These White Supremacists

Show respect and cut the check

The wealth gap between Black and White Americans has not changed in the last 40 years. According to articles from news sites like The Guardian, Forbes, and Black Enterprise, the median wealth of Black Americans will fall to zero by the year 2053. To simplify what that means: half of the black folks in this country will become financially stable and the other half will be so broke that your reality check will bounce.

“For decades, we’ve been told that education is the great equalizer. Unfortunately, more education does not automatically translate into more household wealth in black communities.” — Charlene Rhinehart. Black Enterprise. 2019.

Now there are gonna be some black folks that will read this and will probably disagree with this. They will shout at the top of their lungs or in their heads and say: “We have made progress! What is this fool talking about? We came a long way as black people since the plantation days.” Well, here’s my response that — you’re probably right! We’re not out here picking cotton, sleeping in massa’s shack(or basement if you’re a house negro), and eating whatever scraps massa fed the slaves once or twice a week. Let’s fast forward to the civil rights era, you know, the whole thing with Dr. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Era, wanting social integration, and marching up the street singing “We shall overcome!” I know you’re thinking about all these so called “progressive movements” that McGraw Hill and these white teachers have to presented to you to make you believe that we have risen as a community. But if this is true, then why hasn’t the wealth gap closed? Well, that’s because we’ve only improved socially, not economically.

Congratulations! You are now able to have as many white friends as you want in America.

That’s right. You can party with as many white folks as you want; you can date them; you go to church with them; you play basketball with them; you can vote for them; you work for them, etc. But let me ask you this: is that good enough for you? As a Black person in America, is that all you wanted — to have white people like you? Now I’m not saying that it’s wrong to have white people in your life — nothing wrong with that. But how come when it comes to serious issues surrounding the Black community, are so called “white allies” are never around to help fix them?

Black men are flooding these prisons left and right across America; black people are getting killed in the streets and in our homes by police(aka race soldiers) with impunity. The streets are overpopulated with homeless black people; black children are dying; black women are unprotected — we have so many issues within our community that has not been rectified and you got a lot of these lost negros thinking that somehow we made it. Here’s some harsh truth for you: You don’t have any allies and you have not made it.

The 46th President of the United States, (Jim Crow)Joe Biden — the man that black people got into the White House because they thought he wasn’t as racist as Donald Trump — is going into his 8th month as the head of this nation. In that time, I have seen him provide so many tangibles and resources to the Asian community and the LGBT community, but I have yet to see him do anything for the people that he publicly stated in his inauguration speech was the reason put his behind on that seat in the first place. He has not provided us any laws to protect us from police genocide, no resources specifically to the black community, and most of all, he has not made any forward moves to provide Foundational Black Americans our reparations.

Foundational Black Americans are owed reparations. There is no reason for anybody in that racist government system to come out and babble talking about doing research and this and that. We’ve already had scholars that have done the research for you. It’s been done. People like Dr. Claud Anderson, who has been fighting for Black Americans to receive reparations for years, have already dug up countless amount of horrendous acts America has done to Black people for centuries. As the new generation would say: we have receipts. We can bring up slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, lynching, red-lining, rape, police brutality, mass incarceration — need I say more because we have a big a pile of receipts that we can go through together.

So let’s cut the crap. We don’t want anymore of your symbolism. We don’t care about you putting “Black Lives Matter” on a street or on a basketball court; we don’t care if you put a token negro in a great position at one of your white owned multi-billion dollar companies; we don’t care about you taking statues down of known White Supremacists from different parts of the nation — we just don’t care anymore.

Show some respect and cut the check. If you don’t cut the check, then you have not shown RESPECT!
