The wealth gap between Black and White Americans has not changed in the last 40 years. According to articles from news sites like The Guardian, Forbes, and Black Enterprise, the median wealth of Black Americans will fall to zero by the year 2053. To simplify what that means: half of the black folks in this country will become financially stable and the other half will be so broke that your reality check will bounce.

We’re not out here picking cotton, sleeping in massa’s shack(or basement if you’re a house negro), and eating whatever scraps massa fed the slaves once or twice a week.
