This Is What Makes Medium Different

Thank you to My 1500th Follower

I know, many people have way more followers than me. But I learned comparison is a loser’s game. Gratitude for what we have is winning.

And I’m grateful to have even 1 follower. Why?

The critical difference between Medium and other writing platforms is Community. I’m talking about the fellow writers who somehow form informal “writer’s groups” by following and interacting with each other.

Some of the coolest people I’ve met on this planet I met on Medium. Who’s cooler than curious souls who not only choose to fully partake in this ride called Life but to also share insights gained along the way?

That’s why I am incredibly thankful to all those who follow my stories. Every once in awhile a milestone is reached. Today, I was very grateful to have gained my 1500th follower.

I would like to cordially thank usmi — who I was pleased to discover is also a writer exploring into topics I am passionate about, including personal development, travel and writing.

Over at Usmi’s page, I see a wonderful story about a girl who wrote a letter to end war in the world. Another piece sheds light on the purpose of life. I look forward to following more of Usmi’s articles, as I do to new insights from all I follow.

Thanks Medium. Thanks Usmi. Let’s keep on writing for the benefit of all!
