This Is The Only Tool You Need To Become A Better You

You might not recognize this as a tool at first.

Don’t look now, but everything you want is about to become obtainable. Stay calm. Check your teeth in the mirror, eat a breath mint. You can’t stop the future and baby, the future looks good.

That’s right. Your future is filled with the things you want. Are you excited?

Finally. After all the years you have lived you are about to get your shot at the life you dream of.

This is it.

Your heart races as you hear the approaching footsteps outside your door. You shush your inner voice because it is making you nervous.

You open the door as the dramatic sounds of the future’s footsteps echo loudly.

To your dismay, you see nothing on your front porch. You realize the footsteps that you audibly sensed were only the sound of your heartbeat, in your ear.

With a slight disappointment and a smug smirk, you look at your reflection in the mirror by the front door.

“I knew there was nothin’ special happening today. I knew I should have ignored you.” You mutter to yourself.

Even though you think you know what you want, part of you may be conditioned to ignore your destiny as it enters your field of detection. This is a sad outcome for many societies, unfortunately. Your best life is actually within your reach. You might not see it yet but you will.

Don’t be discouraged- you are not the only person with a blind spot.

Just because you might not recognize your best opportunities when they are near, doesn’t mean you will always fail to see them. You will surely flourish soon because I have the one tool that works for absolutely anyone to show you exactly what to do for the best results.

The arrival of your best self is happening while you read these words. Congratulations — for real.

The most empowering tool I can offer you is my special pair of goggles. They are called Opportunity Goggles.

Don’t worry. Opportunity Goggles are not going to look funny. In fact, nobody will even see them. They have no price tag because they are a gift. You can have my goggles because I don’t need them right now.

I might need them again in the future- so if you see me moping around or if I am ever in a sad fog, I would be delighted if you would offer the goggles back to me, but it is not required.

Opportunity Goggles have an important feature that humans are often missing. It is not perfect, but the goggles somehow help people see a glimpse of their potential — based on the life they are living, right now.

All you have to do is put them on. Then you will know what to do.

You will trust your instinct and you will choose the actions in your life that lead to the very best path.

You will be the best you.

Please, take them.

As you accept the “invisible” goggles you eye me suspiciously.

When you pretend to put them on you notice that you feel ridiculous.

You feel gullible for believing in such an object. A silly, magical toy.

You laugh at yourself for playing along with the game because it is make-believe.

However insignificant it seems- at the moment between you accepting this invisible gift, and the moment when you realize the goggles are not real… you think… “what if?”

That is the critical moment!

That moment when you thought “What if?” contains the very thing you must hold on to in order to see your best potential.

That is the essence of dreaming.

That is the power of seeing and acknowledging the possibilities.

It is not about the goggles. It is about the things that go through your mind while toying with the idea of the goggles.

Ask yourself- if these goggles really worked what would they show me?

I use this exercise when I can’t solve a problem or when I cannot get out of a depressed mood.

I even do this with my kid when he complains of boredom. I throw a pair of Opportunity Goggles at him and when he “puts them on” he “sees” the things that he could do with his time.

When I put on a pair of Opportunity Goggles I see the reason my mother and I argued on the phone last week, and it helps me think of better ways to communicate with her.

When I put them on before I jump online to meet with clients it focuses me on a positive note filled with potential.

When I am scared I wear the goggles to see the way out of the fear.

Next time you are stuck or you wonder what the heck you should do next, just put the Opportunity Goggles on.

Ask yourself these questions to get warmed up: “If these goggles really worked what would they show me?”

If suddenly I was given the ability to see my best possible results based on life as it is right now, what would the view be?”

Your answers are in that moment of “What if?”.

What if you could make every day the best day ever?

I am telling you my secret to unshakable optimism. I credit the goggles.

Go, try them, now.

And when you get the hang of it I would love to hear what your goggles showed you. If you have something similar in your tool box I would love to learn about your favorite life-tools.

Cheers.
