This is my Message to Countries Like Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. It is not France’s Fault that You’re Losers, but Your Own!

I find it amusing that there are many Pan-Africanists on YouTube talking about how tough countries like Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and other African countries in the region are getting tougher on France by standing up to French authorities, starving Europeans, imprisoning Europeans, blah blah, blah blah… have their standards of living improved? Have their sanitation issues changed? Have their educational systems improved? How about their healthcare infrastructure? Spare me the nonsense about colonization and oppression, and cry me a damn river.

Okay, let’s get real, and this is coming from a French Black person with deep roots in both the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and I’m going to say some very uncomfortable things to people in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and other countries who act like losers when they blame France for all of their freaking problems, such as bad governance, corruption, and all of their other freaking failures in life.I’m also going to say some very uncomfortable things to Black Panafrican folks on YouTube who enable this bullshit on social media; I’m not going to name names because you friggin know who you are. It’s about time you heard the truth from me, and I don’t care if it hurts your feelings. I’m sick and tired of not just populations from these countries, but other Africans who waste too much time and energy blaming their shit on the White man, and other groups of people who freaking don’t look like us. Enough is enough! This garbage isn’t getting us anywhere, therefore you, not France, need to change. England is not going to change for you, the USA is not going to change for you, and the whole world will not change for you, you freaking losers!

Let us start with Burkina Faso first: Burkina Faso is one of the world’s poorest countries, with 40% of its people living below the national poverty line (World Bank 2020), and it ranks 182nd out of 189 countries on the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) 2019 Human Development Index (UNDP 2019). The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union have suspended Burkina Faso from respective decision-making organizations until constitutional order can be restored. Yet the Burkinabes believe that France is telling the ECOWAS to prohibit them from the organization; I find it ridiculous because this country has enjoyed its independence since the 1960s; nothing has changed since Thomas Sankara’s assassination in 1987. According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, just last year, there were many healthcare facilities, which have affected 2 million people due to violence. Community health workers have been compelled to quit rural areas and travel to cities, which are deemed safer. Is it also France’s fault? Is this the fault of other Western countries? Give me a break! Yes, I am aware that my birth country, France, played a tragic and unfortunate role in the assassination of Thomas Sankara in the 1980s, but the unbearable living conditions in Burkina Faso have been solely the fault of the Burkinabes and the administrations that have governed them for decades.

Now, let’s take Mali: according to the UN Development Programme, 68.3 percent of the population is multidimensionally poor, with 5.3 percent categorized as susceptible to multidimensional poverty. Is this also France’s fault? Is it France’s fault that hygiene in numerous establishments in the country and throughout the continent is so poor? The average life expectancy in Mali is 58.6 years, whereas in Burkina Faso it is 59.7 years. Who is going to change these circumstances? Russia? China? Germany? The people who are preventing Malians from prospering in life are Malians themselves. You hear trash stories on YouTube about how three West African countries treated France like a “motherfucker.” Excuse my language. How does that improve the standard of living of the average person in the country? The United States State Department, like Burkina Faso, discourages its citizens from traveling to Mali as a result of crime, terrorism, and kidnapping. It is important to note that violent crime, such as kidnapping and armed robbery, is widespread in Mali. Violent crime is especially prevalent during local holidays and seasonal festivities in Bamako, its suburbs, and Mali’s southern regions.

What are the governments of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, the country I’ll be discussing next? You have had your independence since the 1960s, yet you have stayed among the most failing societies on the planet — you’re staying in your conditions while playing the blame game — at the same time, you assume Russia will save you. If Russians do not value Ukrainians, whom they are conquering and killing, and who are as White and Slavic as them, do you, Malians, Burkinabes, and Nigeriens(Not to confuse with Nigerians), believe they will value you because you were subjugated by France during colonial times? Can you really be this foolish? Do you know what it’s like to be black in Russia? Do you understand what Black people and other non-European groups face in that country, or are you simply too preoccupied with colonial crap to think clearly?

Now, let’s take Niger, which you mustn’t confuse with Nigeria: According to Concern Worldwide, Niger is one of the world’s least developed countries; 42.9% of Nigeriens live in poverty, earning less than $1.90 per day, and 83% reside in rural regions. Furthermore, 20% of Nigerians cannot satisfy their basic daily food and nutrition requirements. Recently, Niger experienced an attempted coup d’état last year, in which the democratically elected president was deposed by a Junta. Niger is dealing with food shortages and infectious diseases, which have resulted in malnutrition in rural regions. The country has one of the highest infant death rates in the world; to make matters worse, there is a lack of access to outstanding medical facilities and a shortage of educated health workers.

Russia will treat you and your countries poorly because they believe they have the right to do so, given that you are their useful fools. Your countries have nothing, filled with poverty, despair, and a lack of opportunities because you have elected irresponsible politicians who do not care about your interests; they may act tough toward France and other former colonial powers to impress you, but you are still lagging and struggling to make ends meet. The reason so many Malians and other Africans are leaving their nations for a better life in Europe, particularly France, is that you have failed to succeed in your countries because you are aware of how useless your administrations are.

Your countries, like much of Africa, are among the most corrupt in the world; this comes from someone with deep roots in both the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo; I have nothing to apologize for when I say that colonialism did not just happen in Africa, but all over the world. The majority of people in Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, the Central African Republic, Chad, and other Sub-Saharan African countries have underfunded and neglected healthcare systems. We spend much too much time and energy blaming all of our issues on Whites, Arabs, Indians, Iranians, Chinese people, and other groups of people who do not look like us for our incompetence and irresponsibility.

Take countries like India, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam: they were all freaking colonized — yet I don’t hear them using colonialism as an excuse to hold themselves back like we, Sub-Saharan Africans do. It makes me freaking angry to the point where I’ve stopped interacting with most Black Africans who, for this crap and other Pan-Africanism bullshit! Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and other impoverished African countries are crapholes because the people have chosen to accept them as such. Are you offended? I do not care! I am more interested in seeing more Black-majority countries become fully functional First World nations where the rule of law rules supreme. Enough with this colonization crap; level up! France and other colonial countries will look after their own interests, not yours! It is not their responsibility to prioritize the interests of their countries over the possibility of rebuilding Africa as a whole. Nobody owes you anything; you owe yourselves several explanations.
