This is my favorite champion in League of Legends
His story

Today I am writing about my favorite champ in the League of Legends game: Zed — the Master of Shadows.
Even though I have been playing League of Legends since season 5 (now is the finale of season 13), I have started to play him and main him starting with season 13.
To main a champion means to be that good with him,
To main a champion in League of Legends means to master that champion in such a way that you know all of its mechanics, all the combos, all the strengths, and weaknesses.
Who is Zed?
· Background and upbringing

As we learn from League of Legends Lore, Zed is a boy who was adopted by Great Master Kusho, the leader of The Kinkou Order. In the beginning, he was very impressive because of his unique skills and dedication to combat and learning. While he was there he and Master Kushos’s son, Shen, who was very emotionally balanced, something that Zed was lacking, became like brothers.
· Encounter with the Golden Demon

The intrigue of his story happens when these three capture Khada Jhin, the Golden Demon. Zed wants to kill him, but he is stopped by his master. After that, Jhin is imprisoned, and this leads to Zed’s sentimental transformation: he becomes extremely full of resentment and disillusionment.
· Forbidden discovery
Led by his hatred towards Jhin and his master’s decision, he decides to enter the hidden catacombs which were part of the Order’s Temple. The peak of the story comes soon as Zed finds a forbidden black box, which grants him dark powers and intensifies his bitterness towards perceived weakness and evil.
· Rejection of the Kinkou doctrine
When he gets back to the temple he confronts Great Master Kusho, demanding aggressive action against Noxus, but when Kusho refuses, Zed abandons the Kinkou Order and forms his Order of Shadow, advocating merciless warfare against anyone who threatens Ionia.
· Establishment of the Order of Shadow
He returns to the temple. There he is faced by Kusho, who is imploring him to renounce the shadows in favor of a more balanced path.
Moments later, Zed emerged back onto the temple steps. In one hand, he grasped the box — and in the other, his freshly bloodied blade.
But Zed doesn’t hesitate and he massacres the Kinkou and claims the temple for his Order, training acolytes in dark arts and shadow manipulation. After a war with Noxus, he also takes Kayn, a Noxian child soldier, as his protege, seeing in him the future of the Order of Shadow.
But this is another story.
· Conflict and aftermath
Zed’s purpose is to make Ionia triumph. It doesn’t matter if his actions shatter the balance out of it, by causing rifts and conflict. Because
for Zed, spiritual harmony holds little consequence — he will do what needs to be done to see Ionia triumph.
His story is pretty interesting. The transformation from a dedicated Kinkou pupil to a ruthless leader of the Order of Shadow, driven by his resentment, thirst for power, and willingness to defy tradition for the greater good of Ionia as he sees it, makes Zed seen like a villain.
I don’t know if there is any coincidence, but also on Summoner’s Rift, Zed is not in a good light. Because of his skills kit and his potential to outplay the other players he has a pretty big number when it comes to the ban rate, at least in low Elo. Even though Riot Games keeps him in a D tier and even he hasn’t received a buff in a while, but nerf.
For me, as one who plays him a lot, is very frustrating when it gets banned. Haha!
His story, his difficulty in the game, and his skills made me play him that much. I am planning to write about the reasons I like him in a more detailed manner, in a further article.
In conclusion, the lesson we can take with us from his story is that goals and objectives necessitate sacrifice, decisions to make, and having the courage to try and be brave enough to face your inner enemies.
What do you think about this? And what do you think about Zed?
Let me know in the comments below and please clap if you liked it. When I clap for the others, I like to do it 50 times. Maybe you like it too. :D
