Summary

The article discusses the counterproductive effects of forcefully seeking control over one's life and desires, emphasizing the importance of balance and the concept of letting go to attract what one truly wants.

Abstract

The text argues that our deep-seated desire for control in life, whether it be for love, money, success, or even intense experiences, often leads to a paradoxical pushback from the world. This resistance is not due to philosophical reasons but is likened to a physical law where the imbalance created by our strong desires activates balancing forces that push our desires further away. The author suggests that by relentlessly pursuing what we want, we disturb the natural balance, much like the tension we feel when standing on a cliff's edge. The solution proposed is to release the intense desire and let go, which paradoxically may allow the desired outcomes to come closer. The article acknowledges the difficulty of this approach, especially when the desires are crucial for life, such as financial stability, but offers a strategy to manage this tension through a safety net. This Is How You Make Things Worse By Forcing Yourself On This World

Stop resisting

CONTROL.

That’s what we all seek deep inside, even if it’s just a bit.

Control over our lives.

We want love.

Money.

Success.

Crazy sex.

All that stuff.

Nothing wrong with that.

The problem is we only push them away from our lives by strongly desiring these things.

This is not a philosophical statement.

Uh-uh.

This is more like physics.

When we don’t get what we want, we keep on pushing the World with all of our might.

We do more, wish more, pray more, and whatnot.

This excessive “pushing” only disturbs The Balance.

“What balance”, you might ask.

Everything in this World tends towards balance.

It doesn’t mean everything IS in perfect balance 24/7; it simply means that Balancing Forces are always acting to restore it.

Think about the last time you stood on a cliff.

You felt like something was pushing you towards the edge, while another “something” pulled you towards safety.

Your fear of falling has created an irregularity in the energy field.

Balancing forces appeared to eliminate this tension.

You create similar disturbances in your World with all of your pushings.

STOP.

Nothing good comes out of it, as the things you wish for tend to stay out of your reach.

The solution for this is letting go.

Easier said than done, I know.

Sometimes what you desire might play a critical role in your life, like money.

Having a safety net can help tackle this issue.
