Never underestimate the power of your content

You cannot deposit your article stories, social media posts, and videos to a bank.

And the same principle applies when you withdraw money — content is not a recognized medium of exchange.

The good news is many people are willing to extend you their cash in exchange for the content you have been sharing.

But it does not mean just any kind of content; most of it is filled with garbage when you scroll to any media outfit.

Before even monetizing it, just like successful experimentation — there are a set of variables that you need to consider to get the right mix.

I recall some friends who wanted to establish a consultancy business.

Look after those who engage with the hook.

I am sensitive to those who get back to me via inbox, comments, or sharing my content.

When they engage in any form, I have a strategic way to respond to them, not just throw a thoughtless message out there.

Maximize the opportunities even if they feel half-baked. You are the chef; it is up to your hands to transform what they want into fullness.

Do not worry if there are so many people doing it.

I remember a friend saying; there are so many stores here. If I put one, it will not earn money.

On the other hand, the more competition — there are exchanges of money going on.

I ventured into resume writing later after launching my career coaching service provision.

And people go to me despite having so many resume writers there already.

What is eventually shared regularly is converted into a product.

I kept sharing thoughts, ideas, and opinions about my career.

Whether it was being turned down by an employer, receiving a promotion, accepting a job offer, experiencing bullying by senior colleagues, or being handled by a control freak boss, I share it.

By doing it consistently, without me knowing of my ideas, I was already translating it into a service offering — which is career coaching.
