This Is How To Make Classic Titles Great Again

Boring titles don’t catch your eye in the digital age, so I’m improving them

Classic books are great, but who’s going to read them?

The classics were my childhood companions. I spent many rainy afternoons and burnt countless AA batteries shining my flashlight on the pages of Poe, Angelou, Dickens, and Twain.

I chose my reading lists at libraries, old book stores, and thrift shops. I held them in my hands and sniffed between their pages.

How Do Modern Readers Find Books?

Modern readers use digital platforms to find new reading material. If classic titles were posted through today’s digital publications, they wouldn’t catch anyone’s eye!

People would skim right past tiresome titles like Oliver Twist. And don’t get me started on the dismal SEO status that one word titles like Beloved would achieve in digital reading spaces!

These classics deserve better, my friends!

Making Titles Great Again

I used a headline analyzer to tweak my story titles, and it helped bring more readers my way. Surely I could do the same for my favorite classic books!

Below are 5 classic titles that I improved for the digital age.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Oh, Atticus! How I regret reading the sequel! Still, your title only scored a 59? Boo would be horrified! Don't worry. I'll make it all better!

Original Score: 59

Crossing my fingers!
