This Is How One Story Made A Difference

Doesn’t it always feel that there are stories about stories on Medium? For new writers, that’s all well and good.

For writers who are established, and don’t need to read them, then they appear superfluous!

However, towards the end of January, I wrote a story about Obsidian.

It wasn’t a classic article by any means, just my view of what Obsidian is, and how it could work for me.

What I didn’t predict was how popular it would be, so quickly.

At the time of writing, the story itself has garnered over 400 views.

I appreciate it’s not the fastest moving story on the platform, but it’s MY fastest moving story and I have earned something from it every single day.

So, the question is, how did it make a difference?

The answer? I don’t know. Genuinely.

In reality, all it takes is a single story that resonates with your audience. Find something that they want to read about and you’ll be set.

When that next story will be is anyone’s guess, but I’ll keep writing and who knows…
