How To Succeed On Medium

I’ve been writing on Medium for just over a month. It’s surpassed my expectations in every way since I didn’t expect to make anything. Here are my stats for the first month.

NUMBER OF VIEWS IN THE FIRST MONTH

NUMBER OF READS IN THE FIRST MONTH

NUMBER OF FANS IN THE FIRST MONTH

My Keys to Success

Write Articles Of Value. In my case, I’m writing a thriller novel so I provide tips for people to get better at writing. I also draw experiences from being a father to two young boys so I discuss my views on parenting. This provides value to writers and parents alike.

Interact With Other Writers. It’s important to stay involved with other writers. You can do this by clapping for other articles, commenting on them, and responding to other people. You need to stay engaged with your audience so you can develop a relationship with people who read your articles.

Follow Other People With Similar Interests

I make it a point to consistently follow other people who share the same interests as mine. This way we’ll have something in common and they’re more likely to follow me back and clap for what I’ve written. I now have 699 followers.

Read People’s Articles

When you read what other people are writing on Medium, it helps you become a better writer. It also allows for you to correspond with them. Reading other articles can help you with ways to come up with your own stories.

Start Your Own Publication

If you’re trying to build a brand, you should create your own publication. I publish many of my stories under my own publication, which is Great Writing Tips. This allows for my subscribers to follow me and they’re notified whenever I publish a story.

Write Consistently

Here’s a list of the majority of the stories I’ve written. Make sure you write constantly to keep your number of followers growing.

I’d like to think this is pretty good considering it’s my first month on Medium. I expect it to grow as time continues.

My kids can thank me when they’re 30 years old for making extra income on the side.
