FUTURES
This Is How I Support the New World. How Do You Do It This Xmas?
Holiday gift time

To be honest, it’s sometimes hard to stay afloat as a social entrepreneur and freelancer. I work 10 jobs at a time and most of them are not funded yet.
But my main aim is to spread the work I’ve been doing in my 35+ year work so that young people can learn and have recipes for life and systemic design of healthy cities and villages. Healthy areas on our planet.
Some people just have jobs and steady incomes. And if you are one of those, you might consider becoming a friend of Medium AND reading the writers you love the most for change-making. We are with many on this platform. And we support each other big time… by reading…
Those writers are paid 4x the amount when you are a friend of Medium.
One of my pals here, Toni The Talker, told me about this possibility in Medium. And I became a friend of Medium, of course.
This platform and her writers have given me sooooo much over the years since I joined in 2019. This is my reciprocity for my favorite writers!
I like the fact that I’ll be supporting them.
Our planet does reciprocity in everything. Giving first, receiving from an unexpected side later.
Bee Wild
My supportive long-time readers will have noticed that recently, I changed the pictures on my posts. My good friend Robin Wild, Bee Wild, has been experimenting with Night Cafe, the AI generator of pictures.
And I like her work so much that I decided to just use her work from now on. Bee and I also work ecology-economy projects together. We are lovingly called Bee & Dee by many of our colleagues when we appear together.
Although, she’s not visible in most of my projects. She advises me behind the scenes. She’s a techie, and now that I’ve gone into Web3 and the algorithms of ethical change-making, I need her advice more than ever.
I have been a mentor to her for a long time. She’s the age of my two bonus daughters. But now, the tables are turned.
Time for young people to dare shine!

This is Bee Wild herself. A self-portrait she made. My young black diamond in the rain. Screaming in desperation. Beautiful in her desperation of being a mum to May (5) and working jobs as a coder for our ecology economy projects and a forklift driver.
Bee lives in Berlin. I come from the next country Holland. But mostly I live in Greece and Indonesia for work. My husband Mike and I have the sense & science think-tank Abundance 4 AL.
Bee and I share a love for astrophysics, math, and magic.
And Xmas is a time of magic for me. Alone on the mountain. And with my Greek friends in their orthodox religious culture. With Mike. And online. Everywhere, we can find the magic of enhancing our own intelligence.
That’s what I’ll be writing about more from now on. How to enhance your intelligence. How you can sense more. How you can see futures…
Generation Change
The more I talk to young people, the more I see how futures are going to be and how it will all be okay. Evolution is just happening and I can relax. But in the next 10 years before my pension, I will work from the sidelines to give them the success and fail factors of change-making I’ve seen.
Most of the success and fail factors are about Babel Tower communication. And disappointments because of too high expectations. No expectations and you’ll never be disappointed anymore. It’s only you who can change you or your world around you, after all.
So, I’m the reality check. Always bringing different strands that went too far from the middle back to the middle.
That’s the beauty of being older (58). I see things. I can give recipes.
What are the projects I’m working on right now?
1. Fire Guardians
Fire Guardians. We are working on a Web3 system for detection of wildfires and solving them with community activation and ecosystem restoration. We are in the funding phase now.
Next week my colleagues will be at the COP28. The UN Climate Change Conference. We are talking to Australia, Greece (my current working location), and Brazil. But we are open to other areas too. So, if you know of any impact funders, get in touch!
The MVP, minimum viable product is nearly ready without. We made it as volunteers. And if you are curious about how I design systems, this is it.
We tokenize everything and for the techies among you, we use data-NFTs, satellite info, and sensors. The farmers can use the drought, wind, and heat data for precision farming too. And the tourism industry can use the dynamic data for local weather apps and calamity prevention.

Education & Inspiration are always at the center of all I do. So, while we start with a warning system, I’m looking forward to the moment that we have AR and VR educational games coming from our data lake. And of course, we spread content about kick-starting (just kick-starting!) restoration.
2. Einstein Telescope — 3rd Generation
The area destined for the Einstein Telescope is in my country region Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany). It’s the 3rd generation after the 2nd in America. The bid book is still running, so it’s not sure if it will be Benelux, but I want it to.
I love how astrophysics feeds quantum nowadays.
The biggest and the smallest. The dynamics of them just fascinate me.
The Einstein Telescope would bring prosperity to an area of Holland and Belgium in huge poverty because of closed-down mines and industrial factories.
The Einstein Telescope is non-polluting tech. However, it needs vacuum chambers underground over an area of 30 km. A beautiful natural area that we will restore to nature of course, when it has been built.
We also need to minimize the negative impact of nitrogen pollution and trucks distributing sand and building materials. So, we go for multi-modal. Trains and riverboats. The river Maas is close. And we already worked on the river harbors in the area to make them hugely more sustainable with interconnectivity projects.
Another factor is energy. The Einstein Telescope will consume the energy of an average hospital. But windmills are forbidden in the area because of the vibrations. In the river harbors, we work with local energy sources. Mine water energy from the empty coal mines. And heat exchangers in sheet pile walls.
So, we are now pitching to be part of the full spectrum ecology/economy part of it.
However, my own motivation is not tech. It’s the local people.
My country is going to invest 2 billion euro in a project. And in my view, it can’t be that it will create no jobs, wealth, and health for normal, local people. They are not the kind of university-educated crowd that will come flying because they wanna be part of the spectacle. They are ordinary people, working in car factories. Farmers. Hospitality industry. Tourism.
So, we made a calculation model to purchase cheaper and with more quality. So, we have money in the project for the social aspects. Also, for communicating about the area. I want ALL companies in our area to profit from the fact that the eyes of the world will be on us.
Then we can create jobs for all local people with what we already have available. That’s an ecology-economy. Local. Bioregional. Healthy.
So, I will relate ALL sector stories to Einstein’s way of thinking. And help the teams make modern video content or deep press articles for the world press.
With my background as an economy-ecology systemic designer and writer, it’s easy. I just combine my talents. We all have more than one talent, don’t we? And if you know a little about Einstein, or you interview people who do and relate it to other sectors, you could have such a visionary writing career too…
We are writers, after all.
Of course, in the Einstein Telescope project, we also minimize the pressure on the landscape and the public services. We’ll have a hyper-modern architecture design team for sustainable and healthy buildings.
Well, this is my kind of puzzle. I love it! And of course, there’s also an AI decision model, the Superformula, and more behind us. This project is part of our other collective IBI2. The Institute for Sustainable Transitions and Biomimicry Innovations. This is too big to just vent some interconnected opinions, we need to calculate unexpected negative effects.
My role is the ecology-economy, the calculation modeling, and the honest storytelling.
3. Peloponnese Living
Sometimes systems change can be as easy as a Facebook group to grow some awareness in completely different people from different backgrounds.
That’s what peace and kickstarting an area of humans is all about.
That’s what Mike and I do with the Facebook Group for regenerative travel Peloponnese Living. We love being in Greece. We help a group of local entrepreneurs to build a marketplace of foreigners for the off-season. Liveliness is sometimes the main thing you have to add to kickstart a system and to get people out of lethargy. A fresh view does it all.

The moment I saw this heart in the sea in 2016 (no filter, this is real…) I was hooked to the place. So, now we work from here for 5 months. Good for the fire project and the stakeholder mapping in Greece. Good for my body still recovering from the cancer. But clean now. I’m clean!!!
And definitely good for my soul.
4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Various
Because the big projects are not making any money yet (one in funding stage and one still pitching to the bid book team), Mike and I have projects on the side with NGOs and other lousy-paying but interesting projects.
An ESG integrated calculation model for kickstarting freshwater areas. Some online jobs for education institutes. Another Facebook Group set-up for an African regenerative team and a Blue Heart project. But I’ll leave them behind when the big work will be financed. I won’t have time.
However, I will always MAKE time for my big love… writing… Science fiction with suspense and without violence is waiting for me. And if I don’t write these stories, then Bee Wild will. We know each other so well, she feels like an extension of me. But then, she’s so different too!
When I was young and beautiful I would never have dared to be a Playboy Model. She does. And the great thing is, Bee uses everything she does for personal growth. I love her for it! I love her daring!

Are you a friend of Medium yet? It’s no must, but just a suggestion. You can do as I do and take one writer you love and support her/him in your slipstream.
That’s how nature does it too and how algorithms work, slipstreams…
