Third-Day Prompt Of Lifeline Poetry Contest

Afterlife, there will be the darkness of death

Photo Credit:- Guillaume de Germain On Unsplash

Once again, I am here with the third-day prompt for Lifeline Poetry Contest. I published two prompts about life and love.

We all love to talk about life. However, when it comes to death we all feel afraid to talk about it. We have to accept death as a natural part of our life.

I know it’s hard to bear the loss of our loved ones. However, one day we all have to die.

When we listen to the word “Death”, we think about the ending. However, death is not just about ending.

Death is not the ultimate end.

Endings are not always bad. Most times they’re just beginnings in disguise. - Kim Harrison

Death can be a new beginning of life. Death is natural. When we start something, one day we have to finish it. Life also works like that. One day, we have to die and that is the truth of life.

However, after knowing the truth of life. We still fear death. We are afraid of dying.

Why?

Maybe we want to live more.

Just like your age, you can’t control death.

Therefore, the third-day prompt is all about,

Write a poem about the scariest thing about death.

To live a good life, we must have to overcome the fear of death.

To do that first we have to learn and accept that death is a natural process. Don’t think that you will not have more days to live, try to get the most out of your life.

Be grateful for your experiences and live in the present.

It’s really important to consider that how life and death are part of the same cycle.

I believe when you live life to the fullest, you will not afraid of death. When you have already done what you want to do, you will have no regrets.

Sometimes, we fear death because we have a list of things that we want to do but never had the guts to do that. We feel regret for not achieving what we want.

Keep a gratitude journal to acknowledge the things you’re thankful for.

Explore spirituality and philosophy to deeply understand life.

Here’s my response to the prompt.

Death is natural,

Death is not an ending,

It’s the start of a new beginning.

Death is a new life afterlife,

So, never afraid to die,

And start living your best life.
