KNOW THYSELF, HEAL THYSELF DECEMBER WRITING PROMPT
Things I Am Letting Go of for 2022
When we let go, we grow.

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.”~Steve Maraboli,
The past six years have been quite the whirlwind – especially the last two years. I moved from the West Coast to the East Coast a few months before Covid-19 shut down the world.
Life has been filled with lots of change and uncertainty. Through the upheavals, I have experienced personal and spiritual growth.
Even though I have gained clarity, I have also had to let go of many things, and I will continue to let go of what doesn’t serve me anymore.
One of the first things I will give up for the new year is my control. I have found that the more I tried to control my life, the more stressed I felt, and the more out of control things seemed.
I will relinquish my power and trust that the Universe will take care of me and give me what I need. It has proved to me that there is a higher source always looking out for me.
I will let go of self-doubt, negative talk, and fear of what people think. I hear enough cynicism from others, so I will continue to believe in myself and set out to accomplish my dreams despite of what others project. People will talk regardless of if you are succeeding or failing. I will stay true to myself and my goals.
I will let go of the past since I cannot change it. I will stop analyzing it, let go of regrets, accept my mistakes and recognize the lessons I have learned along the way. It has given me wisdom, humbled me, and made me grow.
I will let go of self-hatred and work on self-love. Loving oneself allows us to love others wholeheartedly.
I will trust my intuition. I will look for synchronicities to help guide me and stop overthinking things.
Instead of using my head as I always have done, I will listen more to my heart and embrace who I am and all the gifts in my life.
“Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward. If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down.”~ Roy T. Bennett,
