Things could change

We all hope that they do

Has the world changed,

And is it for the better?

Have we as people changed,

In some tiny sort of way?

Things could change,

At least we all hope that they do.

Our freedom was taken away,

But hopefully, it has returned to stay.

Has the soul of man been transformed?

Has the mind of man been deformed?

We have grown as one humanity,

As we have tried to overcome our crisis,

To fulfill our rightful destiny.

The world stopped turning,

As time ground to a halt,

We were all locked into time,

Prisoners in every clime.

Thankfully the threat has been reduced,

We are now free to enjoy our night and day,

To make the most of life every day.

Things could change, we hope that they do.

Humanity has grown from strength to strength,

Stronger together in every way,

Working together every day.

Thank you for reading my poem and I hope that you enjoyed it. Warren Brown
