March Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Movement”

Ducks frolicking, creating ripples on water

We visited the Flower Show at the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens in January — the event usually happens twice a year. More than the rather grandoise and opulent flower displays, we go there for the shopping and, of course, to enjoy the gardens. The campus is huge and wonderful to wander around.

This time, as usual, we had our fill of the stalls that sell unusual stuff. We also bought a few mini succulent plants, which I will slowly but surely kill…but not yet.

As we wound up our day after plenty of crazy photos of each other, together and laughed our guts out, we decided to head back home, me happily anticipating the sleepover at my place.

We paused on our way to the garden entrance and were enthralled by the ducks enjoying themselves in the water. So many photos of them circling each other in the water, playing, splashing.

I am always fascinated by how the ducks skim the water, almost not seeming to touch the surface, creating beautiful ripples. And thus, we spent at least 15 minutes just breathing, watching, appreciating the graceful movement. And I was thrilled to catch it!
