They See What They Want
A Poem.
They are everywhere and everything All-seeing and all-knowing
The tainted truth Alarming realities picked out from muddled memories
They look But they don’t see you They hear But they don’t listen
Though you are there, standing right in front of them they still cannot find you.
They are nowhere and nothing Makebelieve, a figment of their own consequential lies Confident in their ignorance, vapid, an interpretation, blind to the truth And when they speak, their words are empty, hollow Ill positioned, badly timed
