Hi and Happy Sunday! I’ve got some interesting updates in the AI realm to catch you up on from this week. Buckle up, because there’s a lot to cover!
First up — Elon Musk did a live stream on X showing off Tesla’s new self-driving software.
The car was self-driving around and obeying traffic laws pretty smoothly. But there was one time it almost ran a red light, but it was all good.
Tesla also revealed their $300 Million AI Cluster new supercomputer that’s supposed to make their AI driving even smarter.
A month or two ago, we talked about authors suing OpenAI for using their books to train ChatGPT. Well, OpenAI clapped back this week.
They basically said the authors don’t understand copyright law and that using small snippets of books to train AI is totally legal.
Moreover, the US Copyright Office wants to hear your thoughts on AI and copyright law. They’ve got some questions up on their website and are accepting comments from the public.

New polls found that most people haven’t actually used ChatGPT. Only around 18% have tried it. But almost half say it does make them more worried than excited.
One interesting update is about Substack — Yeah not Medium. Substack introduces new audio transcription tools. an AI tool to automatically generate a written blog post and create social sharing assets from your audio podcast.
Now onto our diet, Doordash announced the development of AI-powered voice ordering. The company said: “Customers will have personalized voice ordering in multiple languages with no missed calls or long wait times.”
Also, Samsung company launched its AI-powered recipe app called Food. Which will use AI to provide users with personalized recipes and food recommendations.
Last but certainly not least, an AI-controlled drone just beat a human champion drone racer! It was flying around a track dodging obstacles all on its own. AI IS HERE TO STAY.
