These 5 Things Will Create Your Fittest Body
After 6 years of self-experimentation, I realized this.
I was obese and lost 50lbs without dieting.
I’ve been experimenting with my body for 6 years now. I’ve tried various workouts and techniques to be fit. I’ve eliminated sugar, got back on sugar, increased protein, and reduced carbs — I’ve tried everything that blogs told me to.
But I still didn't get my best body, until only a few months ago. Here’s what I did, and you can do too.
1. Do not follow a diet
Eat what you’ve grown up eating. Just eat healthily. I feel we often follow a diet to get a sense of validation that we will get results. Celebrities lose weight with keto, I will do too. The most sustainable way to be healthy is to delete ‘dieting’ and eat healthy food. We all know what's healthy and what's not (fried food).
2. Say good things to yourself
I challenge you to criticize yourself every day and see results. Even if you’re working out hard and eating well, it won’t happen. Your body is constantly listening to you and since it is, you might as well feed it with happy words.
3. Appreciate small victories
Even when you lose 2 kgs or get a step closer to your goal, appreciate it. If somebody makes you work but criticizes you and doesn’t appreciate your work, will you work for them? If your answer is no, stop treating yourself that way.
4. Workout less
I have worked out for 2 hours a day until the quarantine period started. I now work out for 40min a day followed by yoga and have been in my best shape. I lost 3kgs and 6 inches of fat in 3 months with this technique. Do a short and effective workout and rest enough.
5. Eat junk food
What happens if you eat healthy for 10 days straight? You binge on junk food on the 11th day. Eat a little junk every now and then to prevent this from happening. I usually eat a piece of chocolate every day or a junk food meal on weekend. If you are regularly but firmly satisfying your cravings, your cravings won’t rule over you.
If you follow these 5 things, I can guarantee that you’ll be healthy and reach your fitness goals. Often we get caught up in complex diets and routines and stay unhappy because we don’t reach our goals. That’s because human bodies are meant to be healthy and thrive, they don’t need a complex plan to do what they’re naturally meant to do.
