Here is the top lesson I learned in 2021 to improve my life, and I hope it will help you improve yours drastically.

Let’s jump on the lessons without wasting our time. The following are the top lessons I learned in the past few years, especially doing my 30+ day challenges.

What should be on the top of your TO-DO List?

It comes from the blog by Paul Graham.

Initially, it comes from the following book.

Top 5 regrets of dying by Bronnie Ware

Top regrets of dying people

1) I wish I hadn’t worked so hard

2) I wish I’d had the courage to live the life true to myself

3) I wish I’d let myself be happier

4) I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings

5) I wish I’d kept in touch with my friends

As per the book by Bronnie Ware, these are the top regrets people have when they are on their deathbed.

Paul Graham also says in his blog that these are the mistakes people make by default.

So, the question is how to avoid making these mistakes, especially when they are by default.

What I did to transform my life:

I simply put the following 5 commands on my top to-do list to not regret on my deathbed.

The top 5 commands are:

1) Don’t ignore your dreams — and dreams without execution (taking actions) are nothing. Take actions NOW

2) Don’t work too much — Literally, if you die today, your employer will put an ad to hire someone else in less than 48 hours.

3) Say what you think — be honest with yourself and the people around you!

4) Cultivate friendship — it takes time to build genuine friendships.

5) Be happy — I wrote this article on how to be happier. My trick is to go for long walks.

Takeaway

Life is a choice.

It is YOUR life.

Choose consciously!

Choose wisely!

Choose honestly!

And the most important is to choose happiness!

Thank you for reading!
