These 3 Things Shifted Within Me After My Spiritual Awakening

Spirituality changed me

My spiritual awakening happened like most, after much toil and years of trauma, tragedy, and confusion.

I honestly never thought I’d be where I am, and who I am today.

And I’d be lying if I said the depth of my transformation wasn’t horrifying at times.

Nevertheless, I’ve learned to trust my inner daimon and higher guidance to lead the way, even if it seemed bizarre and crazy.

These three things I can honestly say shifted in me after my first initial awakening.

My Concept of Life

Before my spiritual awakening

I struggled with life.

I didn’t know it at the time, but my subconscious thoughts on what I thought life was mirrored itself in my waking life.

My paradigm was that life was hard, God was far off, and he allows struggling for strength and lessons learned.

I thought I wasn’t good enough, so God had to test me to make me better and all this pain and struggle I’d endure was for my own good.

These thoughts kept me in a cycle of “harsh lessons” and me constantly having to be “strong” and pull through. I was in a vicious cycle of survival to which I felt I had no way out.

I felt my only option was to try to show God how worthy I was by going through these circumstances while still remaining faithful to him, hoping that eventually, he’d see me worthy enough to take away the pain.

After my spiritual awakening

I realized misfortune was inevitable, but suffering was a choice.

A choice that we make for ourselves every day, subconsciously when we perceive our circumstances as hopeless or somehow our fault for not being strong enough.

I realized I had to fix what was going on in the inside- Not from a place of judgment or condemnation- but from a place of love, acceptance, and compassion.

After my awakening I begin to open my eyes to the truth of life:

The way we view our lives directly impacts the course of our lives. If we think dark times are a test from God to prove our worthiness, we’ll continue to feel unworthy whenever these times come.

Your current vibration directly contributes to your future circumstances. When these dark times come (and they will come) accept them as a fact of life and go within to focus on healing and the things you want to happen, and you will surely see a shift in your situation.

I have a deeper connection with my life as I now see my outward circumstances as a direct result of my inward thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and emotions.

My Concept of Self

Before my Spiritual Awakening

Such as my concept of the world, I had a really nasty concept of self. I felt very low on myself and highly critical of all my (perceived)flaws and mistakes.

I withdrew in, and anytime I was in a public space around other adults, I wanted to take up as little space as possible. I would even deny my own needs, wants, or desires, to not be a bother, hassle, or hindrance to anybody, even if it meant going against something I believed in.

I would feel a deep overwhelming knot in the pit of my stomach anytime I was criticized by other adults. I was as a child, very ashamed, humiliated, and embarrassed about humanly existing.

And despite me being a true introvert at heart, I made sure to always present myself as an upbeat, energetic, socialist -always smiling and laughing with everyone.

A perfectionist and a people-pleaser, I just wanted everyone to be happy with me.

After my Spiritual Awakening

I began to feel a very powerful sense of connection to the spiritual realms.

I realized that we are all a part of the Divine Spark of Infinity (GOD), and we each hold an abundance of power.

This physical shell we call a body is not us. We are powerful multi-dimensional beings with a massive amount of knowledge, wisdom, and untapped potential just waiting to be explored.

We are everlasting consciousness and the physical representation of energetic expansion.

Conscious matter.

Physical intelligence.

After my initial spiritual awakening, I understood that I am the great “I, AM”. When you become aware of the “I AM” within yourself, something incredible happens. You become invincible, whole, and complete.

You start to form this expansive power that nobody can take away. You begin to see the unlimited potential and possibilities within yourself, and that confidence will give birth to something you probably would have never thought was possible.

I also saw directly into the unhealed parts of myself that caused me to act this way. I was able to see and heal the little girl that searched for validation and acceptance because she didn’t feel good enough at home.

I understood this outward act was a way for me to ensure love and respect from others, giving all of me for just a portion of others. After my awakening I learned to put me first more and lead by way of my personal happiness.

My Relationship with People and the World Around Me

(This is a big one)

Before my Spiritual Awakening

I was very judgmental, untrusting, and impatient.

As far as judgment goes, I would project a lot of my insecurities and self-disdain onto other people. My negative thoughts about the world and myself trickled down into the direct experiences that I had.

I had no real connection with the world or with anyone in it.

I saw the world through a very negative Lense. My ego was very high.

After my spiritual awakening

I no longer saw myself as something individualized from the rest of the world, random and separate from everything else. I see myself as a smaller portion of a much greater divine mission, threaded into the fabrics of infinite mystery.

I now see others as an extension of me, and regardless of how vile, negative or nasty someone could be, we are all ancient souls, trying to remember our plans.

WE ARE ALL REFLECTIONS OF EACHOTHER.

WE ARE ALL SOURCE.

I see the world as a great and divine mother, full of love and protection, and we are her children.

Everything that has happened and will happen, every experience and emotion, every lesson and mistake, it’s all a part of a bigger purpose to bring US closer to your evolutionary purpose

-A purpose so important, that you were willing to come back for an uncountable number of lifetimes to draw nearer to.

Know that you have a whole host and team walking with you, even when you feel alone, you are not alone, ask your spirit team to reveal themselves to you in ways you can understand, and they will.

And live in peace knowing you are always divinely protected.

I can say that my life has changed in very noticeable ways since my first spiritual awakening. The good news is that you’ll never stop waking up.

The further you go on your journey the more you and your life will transform.

My life changed when I understood the concept of life on a deeper level.

My relationship with the world and others changed when I understood our world, and others on a much deeper level.

My concept of self-changed, when I could finally see myself as I truly am, a highly spiritual, divine, infinite being, with an abundance of potential…And so are you.
