There’s something more important than being successful — you’re forgetting this.

No one has success until everyone has success.

Is success all there is to life? Is there something more important to you than individual success?

Well, to answer those questions, yes.

Something more important than success is being around loved ones that are also successful. Here’s why.

It’s lonely at the top of the mountain.

I’m not at the top of the mountain yet, but when I get there, I want my loved ones to come with me. I mean, I put in all of this work — writing my ass off every day for clicks and attention. Then when I get the clicks and attention, there’s no one to share it with.

I sound like one of those old rich dudes who sit in their mansion all by themselves, but it’s true.

My sister wants to be a great language interpreter. If she failed at this and I succeeded, well, my success would be bittersweet.

No one has success until everyone has success.

Final Thoughts

It feels good to reach your goals and get that taste of the pie you’ve always waited for. I’m greedy so I’d know.

The main point here is that your surroundings play a huge role in your success.

If someone you know just got fired from their job, or they’re going through depression, or they have a horrible health problem — that’s going to have an effect (to some degree) on your psyche.

Even from the top of the mountain, you can still look down and see your loved ones struggling for an inch up. It’s hard to see.

Keep this in the back of your mind when you reach the promised land.

If someone can’t eat, no one can.

So make sure everyone can.
