there’s no line which can divide us
a free verse poem

She told me to, “chant Gayatri Mantra when you feel scared” and I did. she whispered “believe in God you are not alone” and I held my faith.
but now things are different —
now I find poetry in that azaan whenever I am in Arab Street now I try to find meaning in those broken statues in church now I don’t judge them just because they are different now I know their God and my God is nothing but a light now I know all the paths merge into one now I know colour is a just a veil not an identity now I know how to read a person eyes now I know where to find those words which will guide me now I try to find that god hidden in your scriptures now I know there’s no line which can divide us.
