There Hasn’t Been A Truly Great Christmas Movie in 10 Years!
Agree or disagree?
I recently saw a post on X that claimed there hadn’t been a Christmas movie worthy of adding to the yearly rotation in the last decade.
The tweeter (X-er? Whatever they are called these days) claimed some were decent, but none worthy of an annual rewatch the way that old classics like A Christmas Story and It’s a Wonderful Life are.
I personally have to disagree.
Some great Christmas movies including Elf, Love Actually, and some of the Harry Potter movies (if you believe these qualify as Christmas movies 😉) have all come out within the last decade.
But my biggest takeaway from the thread was overwhelming support for a movie I had never even heard of before!

With over a thousand likes, many endorsed the movie Klaus, which came out in 2019.
After a quick search, I found this movie is available on Netflix and streamed it last night. I have to admit it was a great recommendation, and one I plan on adding to my Holiday movie arsenal.
If you, like me, were apparently living under a rock in 2019, I highly recommend giving it a watch!
Any other great holiday movies I’ve missed?
