Themed Poetry Challenge — Month #2 Prompt #4
Earthly Poetry

Despite all the delays, lack of inspiration and life getting in the way, we finally made it to the last prompt of the Earthly prompts series! This marks the end of our second themed poetry challenge and I’m grateful to see that so many of you are still onboard, crafting and sending your submissions in, amazing me with your creativity and play of words over and over again.
The best part of being an editor is interacting with writers from different parts of the world and experiencing all the wonderful ways in which the written word connect us all. I will never get bored of editing, reading, exchanging thoughts and forming bonds with you all! So thank you for being here, part of the Medium family, and for giving KTHT a chance!
For our last prompt of this series, we have a special, melancholic and possibly heavy topic (depending on how you look at it) to tackle. We are all aware that one day we will physically depart this planet we call home and I think that, as difficult that may be for those we leave behind, it’s heartwarming to remember that we will always be in their hearts and minds.
Our little quirks, our unique ways of doing things, the way we made them feel, it will all be remembered! And, no matter what your beliefs may be regarding what happens after death, I think we can all agree that somehow, a part of those who have passed away still lingers, as if they’re not really entirely gone. Therefore, our last prompt of the Earthly poetry series is:
All the ways I’ll be with you when I’m gone.
I look forward to reading everyone’s submissions and thank you for being part of what is and has been KTHT for the last 4 years! Much love and appreciation.
