Themed Poetry Challenge — Month #1 Prompt #3
Celestial Poetry

We’re entering the third week of the themed poetry challenge and I am so excited! I love how prompts are sometimes more than enough to have us thinking about the deepest mysteries of the universe.
What’s truly fascinating is how these prompts have a different meaning for every one of you. Doesn’t this just prove, yet again, how truly unique we all are? I also love contributing to this challenge by giving some intuition on what these prompts mean to me. It’s fun and quite liberating!
This week’s prompt is: The Sun splits apart.
What does it mean for the Sun, in all its enormity, to do that? What implications would that have for us? Why would it do that in the first place? So many questions, infinite possibilities… Here’s my take on the prompt:
I don’t blame the Sun For wanting to split Its atoms apart; It’s not an easy task To shine brightly All the time Especially when your light Is taken for granted Because darkness has humans Enchanted; So I’ll go ahead and follow The Sun’s example Cause I too am tired Of keeping my shambles Together…
Remember that if you wanna join this challenge, all you have to do is write a poem & tag our pub/this article in your post. You can even publish it in a different publication if you feel like it! There’s no right or wrong. There just is!
May the words find you! 🌌
