The Zen of Hiring an Attorney
Dora’s Travesty of Justice
All names have been changed to protect the innocent and guilty.

The hiring begins:
2017–2019-After months of negotiations, Dora signed a document and received the $251,771.00. Donald was angry about his deal so he hired an attorney who would keep Dora from further actions for specific assets.
2019-Donald was sleeping with his divorce attorney. They talked Dora’s attorney into quitting on the spot. They shot with both barrels leaving Dora financially devasted. On to the next legal battle.
2020–2023-Dora tried to sell her house and found out that because the broker didn’t disclose the fact that there were two septic systems on the property, that violates the county law forcing her to to sue. The fun continues. Dora is happy that the sale did not go through because her house is now worth four times as much. She enjoys a view of a fjord or canal of Puget Sound while living on a mountain side in a forest. Dora fought with the county for two years over getting a building permit and certification of new septic system. She had a size-able victory after navigating through extortion and archival status of her case created by the first law firm for the above real estate matter. They are on the run after she reported it to the FBI.
Her winnings were based on a competent and truthful attorney. Dora has not found competent counsel since except one. Hiring attorneys is difficult as it is under normal circumstances. Dora’s attorney not only knew the law, didn’t lie, and did what was necessary to win.
2022-Dora reported Donald to the FBI as well, charges of being a master mind of her attempted murder with 6 accomplices.
2023-Dora finally heard from the FBI. The case is expanding. They know who is fault. The research continues.
Vetting attorneys brings to light to how many appear to be incompetent. California is a litigious state bringing into play interesting attorneys to say the least. Dora was advised to hire a competent attorney. She also has two friends who are competent attorneys. One is in Washington and the other is in the EU. Dora’s search is as follows. Here is what she found as well as the top three lawyers in California:
Interview 1-Sherry - A disbarred attorney who has been once again allowed to practice. She yells at her clients according to the reviews. She never returns calls. Her picture made her look kind. The ad made her appear competent. Dora is still awaiting a call back three months later.
Interview 2-Mammoth Law Group-Ratings are below average, owner literally is missing teeth. To complicate the matter, he doesn’t understand the most simple cases.
Interview 3-The English Dude specialized in criminal law, but only understood divorces. He never called back. Go figure!
Visual interviews 4–13-Dora axed them due to the profiles-sounds like dating on line.
Non-interesting interviews-14–19-They did not make the cut, either by not calling back or saying comments unrelated to her questions.
Here are the attorneys who have the highest evaluations. Dora continues to be amazed.
Interview 20-Despina appeared to be a perfect attorney as she consulted with Dora. She was Luciano’s Senior Lawyer. She knew everything that needed to be done. It was a perfect agreement. Dora gladly paid the retainer and signed the agreement that Friday.
Her perfect weekend ended on Saturday morning. She received a call from Luciano and Associates and was told that Mr. Luciano needed to welcome her into the family. She immediately thought of the “Godfather trilogy.” On Monday, her fears were realized. The bait and switch occurred. She met with Mr. Luciano which was not a welcoming call. She was forced to sign a different agreement attached to the original retainer fee, but the agreement changed into a bait and switch. They refused to return the retainer, forced her into signing the new agreement in order for the Mafia to keep her retainer. She escaped being part of the family after days of pure assertiveness.
Interview 21-Moving to the Russian Mafia, Dora paid $525 for a consultation. During the consultation, the Mafia Queen did not read her documentation. Instead, she began vaping heroine with her e-Vape. The consultation turned into insanity after an offer of a retainer agreement of $15,000 to research Dora’s research. The Queen stated that she had no interest in reading anything Dora sent and would do her own research. She marbled her words, smacked her lips, became confused about the call after a half hour, and she was totally out of it. Bye Bye
Interview 22-Moving to the Iranian Mafia, Dora was informed if Dora signed his retainer, she was required to consider it as a bank account and never let it go beyond $10,000. It was an assurance that she never quit his services. All services would be paid with Dora’s other funds. He had a narrow grasp of the law as the others. After fifteen minutes, Dora ended the interview.
Unfortunately, this appears to be a lack luster Legal System if these three were the best attorneys. Buying a car from a used car salesman might have produced a reliable car. When it comes to Attorneys, caveat emptor, Latin for “Let the buyer beware”.
