Profitable Content Tweaks
The “You Had Me at Hello” Content Opening
(Start Strong)

Mastering content creation is the beginning of online success. So many great things come from consistent content creation.
And you wanting online success is why you’re reading this article, right?
One of the big challenges is that so many online entrepreneurs begin their content in a very weak fashion. You want to start out strong. This keeps your prospect consuming your content all the way to the call to action at the end.
Here’s how:
Your Content: Starting Strong
Once you have attracted your prospects with a compelling title and strong sub-title, the next thing you want to do is start out strong and continue to capture your prospect’s attention.
The last thing you want to do is start out in such a way that chases away or bores your prospect. This is what most people do…
If the job of the title and sub-title is to get your prospect to open up your content, then the job of the opening is to get them to want to consume the entire content.
You want to get them from the beginning to the end of your content.
The “You Had Me at Hello” Opening
There are 2 ways to do this with the “You Had Me at Hello” opening.
#1 Keyword-rich absolute truth: Use keywords right away by telling them something they already know to be true so they agree with you.
Example: “Profitable Content Conversion is where the money is made online. This is how you get more prospects and profits.”
#2 Connection magnet: This is like in the movies or a play when someone talks right to the audience. You are communicating directly to the prospect and a connection is created.
Example: “And you do want more prospects and profits, right?”
This such a different opening to your content than I see most people do. And as you’ll hear me say often, you don’t want to do what most people do.
Why? Because most people are broke.
Open your content with one or both of these strategies and you’ll get more prospects consuming your content.
Content Marketing Ain’t Sexy
I was once told by the host of a Blog Talk Radio Show I was on that Content Marketing ain’t sexy.

She’s right you know.
But you know what? Content Marketing is the fastest and easiest gateway to successfully getting started on the Internet.
When I first started
I remember when I first started years ago how easy it was to get “information overload” with all the offers and info and approaches that were available every day (every hour) on the Internet. And that was 15 years ago. It is even worse for those getting started now.
Content Marketing as THE Gateway
I wish I knew what I know now about Content Marketing as a gateway to getting started when I first started out. The reason I say that is Content Marketing provides you with a great way to get started on the Internet and the 7 factors you need to be successful on the internet.
These 7 factors are MindSet, Content Creation, Content Repurposing, Social Content, Traffic Generation, List Building, and Product Creation.
Here’s how it works
- You write an article to create content.
- You then use your article and the links to generate traffic to your web sites.
- You also use your Call to Action to invite prospects to trade their email address for more good information from you.
- Repurposing, reusing and repacking your content into multiple marketing messages allows you to spread your content all over the Internet and develop a strong web presence in your niche.
- Expanding on the content allows you to create multiple information products out of your expertise.
And that is why I say that Content Marketing provides the best gateway for getting started on the internet, faster, easier and with less overall human effort than any other approach or system.
